Remote document review and on-site source inspection for ASME-coded pressure equipment fabricated in South Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia, and Singapore. The North American QA layer for Asian fabrication.
API 510 · API 570 · CWB Level 2 · ASME / API Standards
South Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia, and Singapore are among the world’s most significant sources of ASME-coded pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and process equipment. Korean and Japanese fabricators build some of the world’s most technically demanding vessels — hydrocracking reactors, heavy-wall pressure vessels, specialty alloy equipment. Chinese fabricators have the world’s second-largest concentration of ASME U-stamp authorized shops. Malaysian and Singaporean fabricators serve major regional operators including Petronas.
Western operators ordering from these facilities mandate their own third-party inspection — an independent QA layer applied at the fabrication site, separate from the shop’s own QC and the authorized inspection agency (AIA) involved in the ASME stamping process. Norman QC provides that layer: remote document review from Edmonton and on-site hold-point inspection at Asian fabrication facilities.
Technical documentation at all major East Asian fabricators is prepared in English. ASME and API standards are English-language documents. WPS/PQR packages, ITPs, and inspection reports are prepared in English, making remote review and coordination practical regardless of the fabrication location.
