FAQ
What certifications do you hold?
API 510 (pressure vessels), API 570 (piping), and CWB Level 2 (welding inspection). All three certifications are held by the same senior consultant, enabling integrated inspection and welding QA under a single engagement.
Do you provide remote document review?
Yes. WPS/PQR packages, inspection test plans (ITPs), material test records (MTRs), and inspection reports can be reviewed remotely with signed PDF deliverables. Remote service is available to clients in any country.
Where do you work?
Based in Edmonton, Alberta. Field inspection is available across Alberta year-round. Short-term travel assignments for US Gulf Coast turnarounds and India source inspection are accepted by request.
How much does API inspection cost?
Remote document review (WPS/PQR, ITP, MTR) is billed at CAD $150 to $200 per hour depending on the service type. Field inspection rates are provided based on scope, location, and duration. A fee estimate is provided before any work begins.
Can WPS and PQR packages be reviewed remotely?
Yes. Remote WPS and PQR review is available worldwide. Submit your documents by email or shared folder. A CWB Level 2 certified inspector reviews against the applicable welding code (ASME Section IX, CSA W47.1, AWS D1.1, or API 1104) and returns a signed PDF acceptance report.
How quickly can a remote document review be completed?
Standard WPS/PQR packages of one to five documents are typically reviewed within two to three business days of receipt. Larger packages are quoted individually for turnaround time. Expedited review is available by request.
